An exciting opportunity has arisen for three Analytics Officers/Analytics Business Partners to join our team as we expand our skills and knowledge into predictive analytics.

We are looking to appoint two posts for who will support most departments across the council. A third post will specifically support adult social care, which will be on a permanent basis.
The post will be aligned to our homelessness and domestic abuse services which are part of Accessing Change Together (ACT) Middlesbrough. These roles are perfect if you’re already working in a data analysis environment and want to widen your professional growth. Whilst an understanding of Local Government analytics is preferable, it’s not essential.
Are you passionate about gathering and scrutinising data, looking for trends and understanding what the data means? Do you love finding out what’s happening, why it’s happening, what will happen in the future and what we need to do? Well so do we!
You will be specifically working with all levels of the organisation including our senior management team. You will need to be confident, focussed and be able to collect requirements, design, and build business intelligent solutions to meet the needs of the programme.
What you will be doing:
Reporting and dashboarding to create data visualisations and predictive analytics.
We use Power BI and Alteryx. Collaborating on reporting data, identifying and solving problems, and develop a whole system approach.
Facilitating data extraction with external agencies, using data to map ‘as is’ processes, identify opportunities to improve and map the ‘to be’ processes to support programme improvement.
Work alongside senior managers to support Strategic Needs Assessments including gathering / analysing / interpreting data as well as providing narrative and conclusions.
You will be:
Highly experienced in the use of technology and have experience of using related software, including Power BI, ETL tools (ideally Alteryx), SQL, Excel. Confident, articulate and able to adapt your approach to suit your audience.
Passionate about data analytics.
Focussed on the detail, with excellent analytical skill and delivering the required products and results.
An excellent communicator, creative and adaptive in your approach.
Creative and proactive, contributing towards changes and seeking improvements.
