A fantastic opportunity for a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer who has experience from 5 years onwards, to join a well-known and respected market-leading M&E Consultancy that specialises in Data Centre projects throughout the UK and Europe.

ROLE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
*
Responsible for running medium/large-size projects.
*
Undertakes a client-facing role in the development design and coordination of engineering project services for Mechanical installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc..
*
Attend and run design team meetings and see what needs to be changed and improved etc in regard to design processes.
*
Day-to-day decision-making on project progress and direct liaison with and providing advice to client.
*
Represents the company at technical meetings with clients, professional teams and contractor teams.
*
Carries out engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet required robust industry and legal standards.
*
Responsible for technical content and accuracy of trainees, graduates and engineers.
*
Validation and checking of designs and specifications.
REQUIREMENTS
*
BEng, MSc, and have sufficient experience.
*
Competent in specification design/drawing for several building types.
*
Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation.
*
Knowledge of MS Office applications, Revit, Hevacomp or IES.
*
Good understanding of Building Services standards.
*
Ability to prioritise own workload and to work to deadlines.
*
Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy.
