The job itself
Humber Emergency Planning Service provides the emergency planning and business continuity service to the four local authorities in the Humber area. Our role is to make sure that the four Councils are able to respond effectively to an emergency, by preparing and maintaining contingency plans and delivering training and exercising. We also support community resilience and work closely with multi agency partners.
We need an emergency planning officer to provide technical support to the team. This post is specifically working within the COMAH Regulations 2015. The successful candidate will be a strong team player, with experience of organising and facilitating meetings, events or activities and providing support to other people.
We need someone with excellent organisational and analytical skills, who is able to communicate effectively with Council services areas, partners and community groups, and who has experience of preparing policies, protocols or procedures.
This is an exciting opportunity to help build resilience to emergencies in the Humber area.
