KS2 Primary Teaching Assistant Rochdale £1664 - £1800 Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. Vision for Education are looking to recruit a full time Year 5 tTeaching Assistant to join the Key Stage 2 team at a primary school rated ‘good’ in the Whitworth area of Rochdale. The school welcome all experienced Teaching Assistants who are enthusiastic and highly motivated. The role and school This exciting opportunity is perfect for experienced Teaching Assistants in a Year 5 class of 30 pupils with low level abilities. The children in the class are currently at least one or two years behind their year group. There are three children with SEN, two of which have EHCP’s in place and one child is currently undergoing assessments to be put on one. As there are children with SEN needs and low-level abilities in the classroom, this role requires a teaching assistant who is hardworking, caring and adaptable to their teaching approach/style. The successful primary teaching assistant will also require a strong knowledge of phonics, although it is not essential as training can be provided by the school. Requirements To be considered for the Primary Teacher, you will: Hold Level 2 or above relevent qualification Will be experienced in a long-term KS2 classroom within a primary school. Adapt teaching and learning to meet the needs of all pupils. Be able to build positive relationships with the staff and pupils.
