A Digital Workplace is the name given to today's virtual, modern version of traditional workplaces. The Digital Workplace experience provides personalised, role-based services as well as the data, applications, and collaboration tools required for employees to work securely with each other from anywhere, on any device, at any time.
Our aim is to enable teams across the NHS to connect to information, expertise and knowledge to help them be more productive and to support decision making.
Digital Workplace Services will adopt a simple, user-centric approach adoption of technology and digital tools, systems and services across the new NHS England and the wider system.
The teams are divided into three core areas providing technical and service management expertise.

As a Senior Service Design & Transition Manager the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting the Service Delivery Team and staff across the Corporate IT. The post holder will:
• Manage Service Design Transition and Adoption Team and processes including Design Co-ordination, Service Transition Planning, Digital Adoption and Knowledge Management
• Govern and manage the introduction of services into the live environment, minimising risk whilst facilitating efficient delivery
• Own the end-to-end delivery of Service Design and Transition activities for service led projects
• Manage the Service Design Transition and Adoption Team and processes including Design Co-ordination, Service Transition Planning, Digital Adoption and Knowledge Management
• Act as the main contact into the Service Design & Transition function for the assigned project managers. Collaborating with stakeholders from all levels and disciplines to ensure effective alignment of Service Design and Introduction practices and Digital Adoption activities throughout project/programme phases
• Manage the production of Service Design Documentation, including Service Design Pack information (e.g. Support Model on a Page, etc) and report on the status of Service Design in all projects
• Oversee Early Life Support for service led projects, produce and manage the Service Introduction Criteria and sign off

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
