A warm and welcoming primary school in Bath is seeking a dedicated and caring Nursery Nurse to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide high-quality care and education for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
2. Support the physical, emotional, and social development of children aged 0-5.
3. Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can thrive.
4. Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote learning through play.
5. Observe and assess each child’s development, maintaining accurate records and contributing to individual learning plans.
6. Work closely with parents and caregivers, providing feedback on their child’s progress and addressing any concerns.
7. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery day.
8. Follow safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Ideally, a Level 3 qualification in childcare (such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, CACHE Level 3, or equivalent).
2. Previous experience working in an early years setting is highly desirable.
3. A genuine love for working with young children and supporting their development.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
6. Patience, creativity, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
7. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
