Purpose
The Pension Services Support role sits within the Defined Benefits (DB) team, focused on supporting our Pension and Payroll administrative services through diligent management of our mailboxes and member request logs. This role is of critical importance to the success of the operational area.
Examples of Key Activities include:
* Ensure mailboxes are monitored throughout the day and identify emails needing action and forward these on in a timely manner.
* Complete filing of emails in line with processes and protocols.
* Maintain our member calculations log to ensure we complete activities and respond within agreed SLA’s.
* Be watchful and escalate complaints and vulnerable customers identified.
* Update our Scheme Activity log and DB Calendar for new business deals.
* Arrange and book Benefit Specification meetings for all new business secured.
* Support our Relationship Manager with items that we need to review or gather for our Third Party administrations area.
* Support the payroll functions and prepare data to support the monthly calculations as required.
* Gather data sets as needed through Third Party Administrator downloads or directly from clients.
* Support team in gathering data for audit and monitoring activities as required.
* Load the monthly payment files to our SharePoint site for our Finance team.
* Engage in process reviews and other improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience
* Ability to manage own workloads and prioritise a number of different tasks based on business volumes and priorities.
* A good team worker, with effective communication skills, highlighting tasks at risk of failing SLA’s.
* Good organisational and planning skills.
* Good numeracy with attention to detail.
* Flexible approach: ability to work as part of a team in a fast-moving environment.
* Basic Microsoft Office skills preferably Excel, Outlook, Word.
Experience
Required:
* Experience of providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
* Experience of working with non-standard processes and systems.
