Kent Music is looking for an inspiring and driven Orchestra ONE Manager to develop this unique ensemble for young musicians aged 11-18. You will oversee the administration and delivery of three exciting four-day projects each year. With a focus on innovation and collaboration, you’ll develop opportunities for young musicians to create original music and experience the joy of performance. This Orchestra ONE Manager role offers flexible working hours around project dates and the chance to work in a supportive, values-driven organisation that believes music changes lives. Part-time 0.2 FTE; however, hours/ days per week will fluctuate depending on course dates Location: various across Kent and Medway What you’ll do: Lead the planning, organisation, and delivery of Orchestra ONE’s projects. Work closely with Kent Music staff, tutors, and partners to ensure the ensemble thrives. Promote the ensemble to schools and communities, championing inclusivity and youth voice. Manage the recruitment of students and staff, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding and quality. Strategically grow the ensemble, diversifying its tutor pool and building membership to 50. What we’re looking for: Experience in managing large music ensembles for young people. Strong organisational skills and a commitment to safeguarding. A high standard of musical literacy and a passion for inclusive music-making. A team player with excellent communication and leadership skills. Flexibility to work during school holidays.
