The Governors of Abbeyfield School are seeking to make the appointment of a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Geography, on a full or part time maternity contract. The successful applicant will have the exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic Humanities team who are fully committed to ensuring all staff and students fulfil their potential and continue to enjoy success. We have spent a lot of time and effort over the past few years developing our curriculum and have a high number of students who continue to take the subject through to KS5. We offer a range of enrichment opportunities for students and the successful candidate will work alongside two other Geography teachers. The school has a successful ECT support programme and the candidate will be expected to teach some periods outside of Geography.
ECTs are welcome to apply for this post and will benefit greatly from a supportive and enthusiastic team.
All our staff receive professional CPD opportunities much of which draws on our links with local schools as well as the opportunities provided by the National College and NPQ qualifications.
