About The Role
To effectively carry out servicing and inspections of machinery ensuring we deliver a first class service to both internal & external customers. To actively seek revenue opportunities and discuss these with customers, Customer Support Representative's and your Line Manager.
What you will be doing:
1. Carry out maintenance servicing and inspections on Volvo construction equipment and miscellaneous equipment, submitting detailed inspection reports in a timely manner.
2. Ensure work is carried out to high standards, delivering exceptional customer service.
3. Ensure all work is checked & tested with a keen eye to detail & high quality of work carried out, at all times.
4. Carry out all work in line with quotations and time guides, highlighting to management where additional work may be required.
5. Complete product updates / campaign work as instructed by the CSA Planners.
6. Accurately complete systems/paperwork, including but not limited to oil sample reports, Matris readouts, component failure reports, Service Inspection Reports.
7. Flexibility to work overtime as and when required and to honour reasonable call out requests.
8. Work in accordance with SMTGB standards for health, safety, quality and environmental care.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, And Experience
In order to set you up for success, we look for the following skills and experience:
1. Relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy construction plant.
2. Be able to drive and handle heavy construction machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
3. Be able to understand some technical literature, including service manuals, service bulletins and parts books.
4. Ability to communicate efficiently with colleagues, management and customers.
5. Basic computer skills and ability to use email.
6. High standards and attention to detail.
7. Conscientious in all aspects of the job.
8. Highly responsible, reliable, honest and trustworthy.
9. Hold a full and valid UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
1. Welding, fabrication and line boring experience.
