CCFA CONTINGENT SUPPORT OFFICER – FULL TIME
About This Job
This is an exciting support role based within the Regional Command Cadet Training Teams who are responsible for supporting the growth and sustainment of the Combined Cadet Force (Army) (CCF(A)) Contingents in your region.
We are looking for a suitably qualified person to bring their skills, enthusiasm, and personal credibility to the team and support the development of strong volunteer teams in CCF(A) Contingents across the UK. We can provide appropriate training, where required.
This role is key to ensuring that the Army Cadets meets the CCF(A) growth targets of the MOD, and that each contingent follows the required process and procedure, whilst forging its own dynamic and flexible youth training to meet the needs of the local community.
This position is full time (48 hours per week), however it is not a traditional 9-5 role with requirements for regular evening, weekend and school holiday work. Because we recognise that you will work longer hours at certain times to support camps, you will agree a working pattern with your line manager to ensure the total hours are reached annually and that the take home pay remains consistent each month. There is an expectation that you will spend around 28 nights away from home each year. The starting annual salary for this post is £33,108. The post would be well-suited to a current Cadet Force Adult Volunteer. There is one post available in HQ Centre West.
Essential Skills and Attributes
* Understanding of military ethos, Army structures and ways of working.
* Experience of management information systems (MIS), such as Army Cadet’s Westminster system, or similar.

The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the CCF in schools. Together we want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired through their Army Cadet experience.
We want to develop the youth leadership and training abilities of adult volunteers whilst also helping young people to access Army Cadet activities through fundraising, grant-making, developing new resources and direct support.
We strongly believe that everyone benefits when you help young people to develop their character and values through activities that stretch and mature them. We also know that when young people engage with others at a range of levels in their communities it builds confidence and improves empathy for other’s lives.
Who we are
You will enjoy being part of our small team who work very happily together. By joining CCFA, you will help us to reach more young people and make a greater difference and we look forward to working with you.
