Project Manager Tamworth, Staffordshire Job Description CPE is an established and well-respected engineering company, specialising in the supply of bespoke pressure vessels to the international offshore, water and nuclear industries. The company has become an established part of larger portfolio of engineering companies, bringing exciting new opportunities and continued growth. Due to internal restructure, CPE are looking to fill the role of Project Manager. The role provides essential support to the rest of the Projects team as well as the Quality and Manufacturing Teams. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this key role requires strong organisational, planning, and communication skills, good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and multitask. A high level of Computer Literacy is expected in use of a range of software applications, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential- particularly Excel. Experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment would be very advantageous, as would experience in Manufacturing operations, in particular welding. Main Tasks and Responsibilities for Project Manager: Effective project management to ensure quality, on time delivery and budget. Project management of multiple projects simultaneously, including liaising with customers and organising the various components of the project. Controlling and managing all project variations with clients. Attend and chair on and off-site client meetings when required. Arranging for Schedules to be created and submitted to the relevant parties Assist in ensuring sound labour relations are maintained within the fabrication facility. Monitoring contract/project performance. Ensuring that the clients technical and quality requirements are understood, agreed and clearly communicated to all involved within CPE. Production of technical documentation such as Quality Plans, ITP’s etc Preparation and issue of production paperwork to standard processes. Production of full BOM's using in house ERP software to support procurement. Assist in procurement of all stock and non-stock items with the rest of the projects team. Manage customer relationships and communicate effectively with customers. Establish a close external working relationship with Clients, Sub-Contractors, Suppliers and Third Party Verification Bodies to achieve the project objectives. Skills Required for this Project Manager Excellent project management skills Excellent organisational skills Good communication skills with clients and team members High level of attention to detail Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment on multiple simultaneous projects. Knowledge of pressure vessel fabrication processes, including welding and NDE is an advantage. Qualified in Engineering to HND or Degree level (or equivalent) is an advantage. Working knowledge of pressure vessel design codes EN13445, ASME VIII Div 1 & PD5500 is an advantage The role will require an experienced Project Manager, ideally with Pressure Vessel code knowledge. However, the wider goal is to build and develop the projects team to meet the needs of the business as it continues to grow.
