Our roles can be flexible around your lifestyle, either full or part time and with a variety of shift patterns including weekdays and weekends.
Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour.
Day shifts: Between 07:30 - 21:00 (42 hours per week) on a rota basis with weekends included.
Due to a genuine occupational requirement, we are looking to recruit male workers that hold a Full UK Manual Driving Licence for this particular role.
Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.
You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites all across the UK.
It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. Responsibilities:
* Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing and eating
* Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
* Cooking and preparation of food
* Assistance and support to attend medical appointments (Must Drive)
* Supporting with administering medication (full training provided)
* Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
* Encouragement to participate in social and recreational activities
Qualifications and Skills:
* Full UK manual driving licence (Essential)
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature
* Empathy, understanding and patience
* Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
* Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
* The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges
* Competent in verbal and written English
* A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential
To be considered for this role, we require you to have the right to work in the UK.
Location: Brunswick Mews is located in Wednesbury, in the West Midlands, in a suburban area, off a main road. The home provides residential support to three adults, including those with complex behavioural needs. We specialise in supporting individuals who may be stepping down from a hospital setting, or require behavioural support. Our aim is to support residents to develop the skills they need to live active and fulfilled lives in the community.
Disclosure: All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland, and the cost of this will be covered by Priory.
