We have a new opportunity to be part of the IT team in the role of Cyber Security Analyst to protect the team from internal and external cyber threats by monitoring our security data and working on threat hunting activities.
You will be responsible for:
* Research and evaluate the latest cyber threats, trends, and vulnerabilities and identify how we can best protect the team.
* Use analytics tools to discover trends and patterns for emerging threats.
* Investigate security alerts and provide incident response using standards and best practices.
* Monitor and respond (mitigate) common cyber threats such as phishing, malware, and other threats.
* Record all findings, actions taken, and lessons learned following an incident or investigation to strengthen cyber resilience posture and future responses.
* Promote a culture of cyber security among colleagues and assist with cyber security awareness training and new employee onboarding across the team.
* Work with our Security Operations Centre to strengthen our cyber security posture and investigate/respond to cyber threats.
* Review and assess vulnerabilities and work with IT to mitigate/fix to a high security standard.
* Perform tests and risk assessments to uncover potential threats, vulnerabilities, and weaknesses in our security architecture.
* Launch simulated cyberattacks to test security processes and develop a cyber culture.
* Perform penetration testing to find vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
* Ensure Cybersecurity tools are configured correctly, patched, and fit for purpose.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
* Experience with Sentinel One and Microsoft security products.
* Knowledge and experience of cyber security frameworks and controls such as CIS or NIST.
* Experience with cyber incident response processes.
* Experience working with a SOC to perform threat analysis, detection, and mitigation.
* Understanding of security capabilities and controls across firewalls, EDR, networks, etc.
* Experience with vulnerability management and mitigation.
* Experience with SIEM, Intrusion Detection Systems, and Prevention Systems.
* Threat knowledge and understanding of the evolving threat landscape.
* Knowledge of Python would be beneficial.
* Strong risk identification and management skills are essential to prioritize and eliminate risks.
* Self-motivated and able to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment.
* Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
* Effective, positive, and respectful communication with all colleagues.
* Flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.

This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirements to travel to other locations where necessary.
