Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate phlebotomy procedures.
2. Conduct NHS health checks, including dipping urine, taking blood pressure, pulse, weight, and recording MI.
3. Act as a formal chaperone.
4. Arrange appointments, referrals, tests, and follow-up appointments for patients.
5. Prepare patients prior to seeing the GP by taking a brief history and basic readings.
6. Process investigation results on behalf of GPs following protocol workflow procedures.
7. Explain treatment procedures to patients.
8. Assist the GP in arranging admissions while the GP continues consulting.
9. Participate in annual individual performance reviews and maintain a record of personal and professional development.
10. Complete mandatory training and attend all relevant annual updates required to perform clinical duties.
11. Inform the Service Manager of any concerns regarding HCA/GPA roles and any professional development needed.
12. Undertake HCA Competency Framework training if not already achieved.
13. Be aware of own professional boundaries and know how to address them.
