Based in the Nottingham/Derby area, with requirements to attend meetings at the head office and travel to manage clients and work on-site as needed. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility.
This Remedial Service Manager role requires a dedicated and proactive individual to supervise and support on-site staff. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in daily operations, providing technical support, and ensuring high standards of work are maintained. The role involves liaising with site managers, quoting new business, developing and managing client relationships, managing service engineers, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Remedial Service Manager Key Responsibilities:
· Supervision and Support:
Provide technical support to on-site staff, ensuring smooth operations and addressing client inquiries. Attend meetings with the Operations/Service Manager to provide updates on challenging sites or engineer concerns. Manage client expectations and resolve issues through effective communication and best practices. Oversee and manage client remedial/job works or ad hoc contract works, providing reports with further recommendations if applicable. Ensure adequate stock levels for jobs/contracts and monitor engineers’ stock, equipment, and PPE.
· Client and Site Management:
Liaise with site managers to ensure professional execution of tasks. Develop and manage clients’ Programs of Works. Conduct monthly meetings with larger clients to review water system performance and key performance indicators (KPIs). Support office staff with quotations for key clients.
· Business Development:
Achieve revenue targets by securing orders and working with operations to complete as much work as possible. Lead and deliver projects and contracts, ensuring profitable delivery of works. Expand the customer portfolio through contracts and additional services. Quote for new business opportunities and conduct site surveys to identify potential contracts. Assist with tenders and site visits as required.
· Compliance and Safety:
Manage positive legionella results, including cleaning, disinfection, resampling, and escalating issues to relevant sites. Ensure all equipment undergoes visual safety checks, PAT testing, and ladder checks. Assist with planning and organizing training requirements. Write site and project-specific risk assessments and method statements. Conduct annual reviews of all clients for Legionella Control Association (LCA) compliance.
Remedial Service Manager Key Requirements:
· Minimum of 2 years in a senior service engineer role with at least 3 years of service experience.
· Experience within legionella control and plumbing remedials.
· Experience in meeting new clients and conducting site surveys.
· Experience working in industrial/challenging sites.
· Strong deadline management.
· Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
· Familiarity with health and safety compliance, including equipment safety checks and legionella management.
