About the Department:
SOAS Language Centre sits within Marketing, Student Recruitment, and Admissions Directorate. The Language Centre offers quality teaching in a wide range of languages to SOAS students and the general public and provides bespoke language training for diverse organizations.
About the Role
The post holder will provide support to the Language Centre’s diverse team and assist with general administration activities. Key responsibilities include:
1. Assisting with the registration of students
2. Database maintenance
3. Answering student queries from the initial point of enquiry to course completion
4. Data collection
5. Ensuring that student experience is prioritized and a high-quality service is provided
The post holder will work closely with the Academic Support Manager, the Academic Support Officer, the Language Coordinator(s), Course Convenor, and a team of teachers.
