About the Role:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Employability Trainer to join their dynamic team at a leading Further Education College in Cambridge. As an Employability Trainer, you will play a key role in supporting students to develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the workplace. You will deliver engaging, practical training and guidance on employability skills, including CV writing, interview techniques, communication, teamwork, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality employability training sessions to students, equipping them with essential skills for the workforce.
* Develop and implement effective resources and materials to support learning.
* Provide individual coaching and feedback to students to enhance their personal development and career readiness.
* Collaborate with employers and industry professionals to ensure relevant and up-to-date training.
* Track and monitor student progress, providing support and guidance where necessary.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of the employability curriculum and training programs.
* Maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Criteria:
* Proven experience in teaching or training, ideally in a further education setting.
* Strong knowledge of employability skills and the current job market.
* Ability to engage and motivate students with varying levels of ability.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A relevant qualification in education, training, or a related field (e.g., PTLLS, DTLLS, or equivalent).
* A passion for helping others achieve their career goals.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience working with diverse student groups, including those with additional learning needs.
* Knowledge of vocational qualifications or apprenticeships.
* Experience in industry or recruitment.
