Yard / Warehouse Operative - Building Merchants

ABC Depot is a building and timber merchant based in Welham Green, Hertfordshire. We sell building supplies online across London and the surrounding areas.
Due to growth, we are looking to add 2 colleagues to the Warehouse team. We are currently seeking experienced forklift drivers to assist in the day-to-day operations of a busy yard/warehouse environment.
Job Specification:
1. Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries using a forklift truck, picking orders, and moving stock around the site.
2. Picking orders accurately and in a timely manner.
3. Checking loaded goods against delivery notes.
4. Assisting Trade Counter customers as required.
5. Keeping work areas clean and tidy.
6. Adhering to Health & Safety regulations at all times.
7. Some manual handling is required.
This is a full-time, permanent role. Shift pattern is 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturdays from 7am to 1pm.
Person Specification:
1. Forklift Truck Driving: 2 years (required).
2. Builders merchant experience desirable; training will be given.
3. Be self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
4. Have the ability to work quickly and efficiently with strong attention to detail.
5. Be able to follow health and safety regulations.
6. Good communication and customer service skills.
To be considered for this role, you must have a Forklift license with 2 years of experience working in a busy yard.
