An international technical manufacturing, electronics and engineering organisation seeks to recruit a 1X Buyer & 1X Senior/Lead Buyer to join on a permanent basis. Role - 1X Buyer & 1X Senior/Lead Buyer Type - Permanent position Salary - £30,000 - £60,000 Benefits Location - Buckinghamshire (hybrid working) Key responsibilities for Buyer job role and not limited to: Purchase goods and services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets Maintain MRP data including lead-times, cost and supplier evaluations Ensure continuous supply of required material and communicate any supply issues that may arise Manage supplier order books and identify opportunities for cost reduction Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product and service quality levels are maximised On-time-in-full delivery of materials and services to support project milestones Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities To identify appropriate sources of supply to meet contract needs To ensure contract conditions are applied including specific flow downs where appropriate. To assist in developing ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement. Key responsibilities for Senior/Lead Buyer job role and not limited to: Responsible for providing daily leadership, operational direction and continuous improvement to the Buyer and provide purchasing KPI and accountable for team performance Carry out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis Drive actions to mitigate potential delivery delays by identifying risks, performing root cause analysis and development of recovery plans to bring shipments back in-line with customer requirements Competitive tendering to ensure best value for money Issues RFQ's and PO's in accordance with company procedures Implements purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations. Supported by the Buying Team, ensure that all Purchase orders are issued to suppliers in a timely manner and that terms are conditions reflect the requirements of the programme Negotiates the lowest possible cost balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records Key skills required for the Buyer / Senior Buyer / Lead Buyer job applicant and not limited to: Proven experience as a Buyer Technical manufacturing background, ideally within electronics, mechanical or electro-mechanical sourcing Strong analytical skills IT Literate To apply for this Buyer / Project Buyer / Electronics Buyer / Electro-mechanical Buyer / Technical Buyer / Senior Buyer / Lead Buyer position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK
