Job Purpose and Impact Location: Port of Liverpool CHP Plant, Regent Road, Bootle, Liverpool, L20 1ED. This role is a permanent position and entails working 12-hour shifts (2 days on, 2 nights on, 6 days off) and lone-working following successful completion of training. We have an exciting opportunity at our Port of Liverpool CHP plant. This plant supplies heat and power to local businesses and has the capacity to generate up to 240 GWh of electricity and 300 GWh of heat each year. We are looking for a Production Technician to help ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our plant. As a skilled operations production technician, you will effectively operate the plant, maintaining legal requirements whilst maximizing its commercial benefits. In this role, safety is paramount. You will actively promote a culture of health, safety, and environmental awareness. You will foster a culture of continual improvement, taking responsibility for introducing and implementing any site-based health and safety initiatives. You will also be accountable for the implementation of effective work control, working with the site maintenance team to ensure the safety of everyone on site, both day-to-day and during outages or site projects. Minimum Qualifications - Relevant engineering and maintenance experience gained within a similar role and process industry. - First line maintenance experience across relevant discipline areas (Process, Electrical, C&I, Mechanical). - Experience of operating within safety, environment, and operational policies and statutory legislation. - Proven ability to identify and analyze situations by isolating key issues, evaluating relevant data, and drawing appropriate conclusions. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with site teams and stakeholders. - Working knowledge of key PC-based computer systems. Preferred Qualifications - IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health), or equivalent, qualification. - Financial and commercial awareness. - A proactive approach by clearly identifying practical and effective means of improving technical, commercial, or procedural aspects. - Experience of producing safety documents such as risk assessments, method statements, hot work assessments, etc. LI-VB2 Our Offer We provide a fast paced stimulating international environment, which will stretch your abilities and channel your talents.
