An exciting opportunity has become available for a HR Specialist to join our business on a 12-month fixed term contract. Working closely with the Head of HR and General Manager - Spain this person will be responsible for providing quality HR services to management and personnel to Mitsubishi Power Europe colleagues across our Offices, whilst complying with local legislation and company policies. Duties and Responsibilities Provide first-line advice to employees and managers across the employee lifecycle. Ensure effective internal communication to keep teams and management updated. Coach and support managers in people management practices. Perform various HR administration tasks, including employee record management, data entry, and filing. Provide support in preparing and processing payroll, including collating payroll data, calculating deductions, and ensuring timely payments Assist with employee relations matters, including responding to queries and concerns, conducting investigations, and coordinating disciplinary procedures as necessary Manage HR systems, personnel files, and HR cost tracking, including PO generation. Develop and maintain up-to-date Employee Handbooks and policy documents. Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process, including posting job openings, screening applications, arranging interviews, and preparing offer letters Coordinate employee training and development programs, including scheduling, tracking attendance, and ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements Participate in process improvements and policy development. Processing of expenses for Heads of, and Directors Support annual processes, including bonuses, pay reviews, goal setting, and appraisals. Keep up to date with any Legislation changes, updating General Manager – Spain and Head of HR with any potential implications to MPW-EUK. Skills and Experience Required Degree in Labour Relations, Human Resources or similar Demonstratable experience in a similar role, dealing with employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances and appeals. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Familiarity with HR policies and procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Knowledge of wider European employment law (desirable) Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
