Job Description
What is the opportunity? You will be a Product Controller in the London-based Global Equities Product Control team. What will you do?
1. Provide quality analytical support to RBC’s Global Equities EMEA and APAC desks
2. Act as the primary point person for all Front Office queries and issues and effectively monitor, track, and complete tasks in a timely fashion.
3. Perform daily P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations to ensure figures are properly tied back to the systems of records.
4. Prepare daily p&l and decomposition with associated commentary.
5. Report daily commission to business management at detailed sub levels.
6. Resolve trader queries regarding missing or incorrect commission and the reallocation of commissions.
7. Calculate, liaise and report, assist in booking and settle intra group commissions including resolution of trade differences.
8. Prepare monthly reconciliations and standards of documentation to assist in attestation of balances and review by Financial Control.
9. Prepare all monthly accounting entries to the sub and General Ledger and conduct reconciliations to ensure figures are properly tied back to the systems of record.
What do you need to succeed? Must-have
10. Capital Markets experience, with an excellent knowledge of Cash Equities and Equity Derivatives.
11. Strong accounting experience.
12. Excellent Excel skills.
13. Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
14. Able to work effectively and reliably under pressure.
15. Advanced understanding of procedures and operational controls as they relate to trading systems and workflows.
Nice-to-have
16. University Degree or similar / equivalent.
17. Accounting Qualification, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar / equivalent.
