We currently have opportunities to join the Nursing Bank within HPFT as a RN, in particular we are looking for BANK staff to work as and when required often at short notice at Band 5 level in COLCHESTER, North Essex. If you have previous experience of working with Service Users within a Learning Disabilities background, we would like to hear from you. All roles with the Bank are ad hoc (as and when) and therefore may suit those already working part-time, with other commitments, or who want to work on a short-term basis. We can support Bank staff migration into a permanent role where there are vacancies. HPFT provides support for service users with mental health, learning disability and children's and adolescent mental health problems. Applicants should have some experience of working in a healthcare setting particularly within learning disability services.

* Ensure that the statutory requirements of the Mental Capacity Act are observed.

* Have effective working relationships with other professionals within the service area, across the Strategic Business Unit, Trust and other NHS providers.
* Contribute towards effective management and utilization of resources within the service area.
* Provide clinical advice for service users who present with challenging and mental health needs that promote and facilitate the positive health and wellbeing of people with learning disabilities including direct work with service users, carers, colleagues and other service providers.

* Relevant Professional Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
Experience & Knowledge

* Experience of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care according to assessed need using person-centred approaches.
