We are delighted to be working with one of the UK’s most established law firms with their recruitment of a Housing Development Secretary based in Manchester. This schedule is 9am-5:30pm Monday-Friday with the opportunity for hybrid working. You will be working a total of 37.5 hours per week on a salary of £27,964 (or £30,429 based on experience). Within this role, housing secretarial experience is required. You will be providing secretarial support for the fee earners as part of the Housing department relating to the provision of a wide range of legal services to the company's housebuilder and developer clients. Managing Fee Earners diaries. Preparing internal and external correspondence. Providing status updates for clients under supervision of Fee Earners. Preparing, submitting and downloading property searches and Stamp Duty Land Tax forms using the SDLT website. Interface with Land Registry generally, including preparing, submitting and monitoring applications for registration. Producing/assisting in the completion of monthly bills and team financials. E-filing of all documents and correspondence and manging the internal electronic matter workspaces. Use precedents as directed and delegated by fee earners to prepare and draft documents. Setting up electronic data-rooms and organising receipt of and sending out due diligence information. Preparation of, monitoring and updating spreadsheets and schedules for both team (internal) and client (external) management of matters and performance metrics. About you: This is a perfect role for you if you’re an organised individual with a strong attention to detail and a positive 'can do’ attitude as well as: Strong ability in all Microsoft Packages to an advanced level, with excellent IT skills. Experience and proficiency in Searches, Land Registry and Stamp Duty Land Tax interfaces. Proficiency in document preparation, including house style, schedule levels, stripping out and re-formatting documents, table of contents, formulas, track changes, document comparison packages.
