W Talent are now working exclusively with a leading FMCG company in the non-food sector, who are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join their dynamic senior team in Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment where safety, compliance, and continuous improvement are at the forefront of operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Health and Safety policies and procedures in line with current legislation and industry best practices.
* Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance across all departments and processes.
* Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
* Provide expert advice and support to management and staff on all Health and Safety matters, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
* Develop and deliver Health and Safety training to employees at all levels to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities.
* Liaise with external regulatory bodies, ensuring all certifications, permits, and standards are maintained.
* Monitor and report on Health and Safety performance metrics, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
* Stay up to date with changes in Health and Safety legislation and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant.
* Manage and lead emergency response plans and procedures.
Key Requirements:
* NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent Health and Safety qualification.
* Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager, ideally within the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
* Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and managing incident investigations.
* Ability to work independently, with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to safety management.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
