Part time, Permanent, FTTE up to: 0.3
You will work alongside our Centre whānauto to open the sessions and guide activities, facilitate learning for our members and tamariki while role modelling child-led play and positive guidance. You will increase the use of Te Reo Māori, encourage participation in the Playcentre Education programme to increase qualification levels at our centre, and demonstrate the benefits of participating to whānau.
Let your inner author shine by writing learning stories highlighting tamariki achievements, developments, learning, and wonders while supporting whānau with their exploration of light bulb moments.
We are all about mentoring and supporting parents/whānau/members/tamariki as they explore and learn with their children during these very special years.
Start date: 27 January 2025
Days & hours: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 8.30am to 1.30pm. This is a Permanent role, during term time only.

The candidate must have the following:
* Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher.
* Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this.
Desirable skills and experience will include:
* Knowledge and understanding of Te Whāriki and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
* A passion for Playcentre and our philosophy.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with tamariki and adults.
* Passion for empowering and engaging with all whānau to feel a sense of belonging in our sessions.
