ETZ EnergyWorks Operations Manager
ETZ Ltd is recruiting an Operations Manager on a permanent contract to manage ETZ EnergyWorks, the UK’s first state-of-the-art energy incubator and scale up hub, opening Summer 2025. A unique 3,000m2 facility, home to industrial, workshop, collaboration and co-working spaces, building a dynamic targeted support ecosystem to nurture and scale the low carbon energy supply chain.
Our vision is to help customers and wider companies across the region develop their innovation, technology, manufacturing, and business growth capability to accelerate products and services into UK and international energy transition markets.
Role Overview:
As the ETZ EnergyWorks Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient running of ETZ EnergyWorks and other ETZ assets. You will work closely with internal and external partners and stakeholders identifying customer needs and supporting business growth. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for operational excellence, cultivating strong customer relationships, and driving innovation in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Key point of contact for new and existing customers.
* Develop and support strong customer relationships.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of customers and visitors to ETZ facilities.
* Foster a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and growth within ETZ EnergyWorks.
* Support ETZ Ltd’s Supply Chain and Marketing teams develop customer engagement strategies in line with ETZ Ltd’s facilities and support programmes.
* Work with ETZ EnergyWorks delivery partners to ensure customer needs are met.
* Ensure the efficient operation of ETZ EnergyWorks.
* Oversee the operational management of ETZ W-Zero 1 Facility.
* Identify and mitigate business and HSE risks.
* Liaise with the facility management provider to ensure optimal maintenance and operations practices.
* Controlling and reporting expenditures on delegated budgets, including occupancy and HSE areas.
Personal qualities and experience required:
* Proven experience within a customer management or client relationship role with excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
* Proven influencer with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and colleagues alongside strong teamworking skills.
* Experience creating and maintaining an effective high performing organisation and/or facility HSE standard and culture.
* Business development experience gained in a commercial and/or operations environment, ideally gained within the energy sector.
* Strong numerical, organisational and report writing skills with keen attention to detail.
* A strong alignment and commitment to ETZ Ltd’s values and ethos is essential.
* A degree qualification or equivalent experience.
* A full & clean driving licence.
