About the role
The postholder will be expected to develop an independent Immuno-Oncology research group at the UCL Cancer Institute and an international profile, positioning UCL at the forefront in this area. The UCLH/UCL partnership and the GOSH/UCL partnership have been awarded Biomedical Research Centre status by the National Institute for Health Research and cancer research is one of their major themes.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead a research group and achieve successful additional grant support independently. There are opportunities to develop an educational programme. This position will form an important part of the wider UCLH/UCL Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) portfolio, and the Cancer Research UK Centre at UCL.
About you
Eligibility for full GMC Registration and medical oncology accreditation are required (MRCP or equivalent necessary). A further post-graduate degree ( PhD or equivalent) is essential. Significant experience within the field of tumour immuno-oncology research and in conducting clinical studies is essential.
Applicant seeking appointment at professorial level will be expected to evidence an outstanding international research profile with track record of extensive publications in high quality peer-reviewed scientific journals and invited conference contributions and continuing track record of external research grant funding.
