Northgate Village Surgery is a GP Surgery in Chester City Centre looking for a flexible and hard-working strong team player to join our friendly Patient Services Administration team.
The ideal candidate should have good ICT knowledge, be proficient with programmes such as Microsoft Office, and previous experience working within General Practice with EMIS Web software is desirable but not essential.
The applicant must be available to work shifts between 8am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday. Adaptability and flexibility are essential for sickness and holiday cover.
The role is for up to 20 hours per week, between the hours of 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday.
We offer 5 weeks annual leave (not including Bank Holidays).

Main duties of the job
* Answering the telephone and dealing with patient enquiries, booking appointments.
* General reception desk duties including registering new patients, greeting and directing patients and visitors, making appointments, taking prescription requests, and dealing with general enquiries.
* Administration tasks such as scanning clinical letters onto patient records, contacting patients regarding test results, and inputting data to the clinical administration system.
* Processing prescriptions, following Practice protocols.
* Upholding strict patient confidentiality at all times.

Person Specification
Experience
* Previous experience in a customer service environment.
* Good general ICT knowledge, including programmes such as Microsoft Office.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work well as both part of a team and independently.
* Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
* Experience working in a healthcare environment.
* Knowledge of EMIS Web computer programme.
Qualifications
* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths (or equivalent).
