BDS is seeking an experienced and qualified Disrepair Surveyor to join our clients team in Manchester, focusing on residential properties in the local region. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in building surveying, with a particular focus on disrepair assessments, and be capable of expert witness work. This role involves conducting in-depth property inspections, producing detailed pathology reports, and providing disrepair assessments. Key Responsibilities: Conduct Inspections: Perform comprehensive inspections of residential properties to assess and document disrepair issues. Prepare Reports: Create detailed pathology reports that include findings, photographic evidence, and recommendations for preventative and remedial actions, along with Schedule of works; following USP Group’s templates. Consultation and Recommendations: Discuss findings, advising on required actions to address disrepair and prevent future issues. Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on building regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices to deliver the highest level of service. Qualifications and Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional Certification: Relevant qualifications (e.g., MRICS, RICS accredited). Experience: Demonstrable experience in building surveying, with a focus on disrepair assessments and expert witness work. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of building regulations, health and safety legislation, and construction practices. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce concise, professional reports. Analytical Abilities: Skilled in identifying and resolving disrepair issues, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. License & Mobility: Valid driving license and willingness to travel to various sites within designated regions. Monday to Friday 9-5pm Rate Of Pay- £300-£400 Per Day.
