Job Title: Human Factors/Safety Engineer
Location: Remote working with occasional site visits to Barrow base site.
Duration: 6 months initial contract.
Salary: £87.27 per hour (Umbrella) or £75.76 per hour (PAYE including holiday pay).
We are seeking a Principal Human Factors / Safety Engineer to undertake human factors work and support site-based HF safety activities. This role involves transferring knowledge, conducting risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a safe working environment.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in human factors engineering, experience in identifying and mitigating hazards, and strong communication skills. They will also be able to analyze data, develop recommendations, and implement changes to improve safety outcomes.
This is a contract position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct human factors risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address safety concerns.
* Analyze data to inform safety recommendations and improvements.
* Develop and implement safety procedures and guidelines.
* Provide training and coaching to personnel on safety protocols and procedures.
