Our client is a dynamic multi-office legal practice which provides a comprehensive range of legal services across the North West.
Purpose of the Role
* Assist in the management of the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and induction through to end of employment.
* Assist the HR department in ensuring the successful development of the firm in line with the business plan.
Key Objectives
* Be actively involved in recruitment and selection processes and procedures across the Practice.
* Identify appropriate recruitment strategies, writing/amending job descriptions, prepare interview questions and undertake interviews alongside appropriate specialist staff.
* Assist in the induction process including the preparation of the induction programme and undertaking new starter inductions.
* Preparation of review letters for staff salaries during the annual pay review process and provide first line advice on current and existing benefits for all staff.
* Work with line managers to manage employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, sickness and absence and end of employment, driving resolution in line with legislation and internal policies.
* Continuously monitor, review and update spreadsheets relating to staff working hours, salaries, absences, etc.
* Maintenance of the HR System and electronic staff records.
* Travel to other sites throughout the Practice will be required on an ‘as necessary’ basis.
Person Specification
Essential Skills
* Minimum Level 3 CIPD/working towards Level 5.
* Ability to communicate effectively with staff across all levels within the Practice via telephone, in writing or face to face.
* Highly organised, have excellent attention to detail and can manage conflicting priorities.
* Experience working directly within a business supporting it through cyclical HR activities and managing employee relations casework.
* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
* Driving licence.

* Salary up to £30K DOE.
