Community Learning Disability Team Manager

The Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale team is looking for a Team Manager to manage the community learning disability service. The team is well-established, friendly, and welcoming to new starters.
We are looking for a staff member from all disciplines and professional backgrounds (e.g., learning disabilities or adult mental health) to take up this role. We are happy to support new managers into the position, so if you feel ready for a new challenge and have the right skills but lack experience, we will support you through the transition as needed.
The team comprises nurses, OTs, Physios, SLT, psychologists, admin, and psychiatry staff.
The hours are 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
Main Duties of the Job
The Team Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the service, supporting staff by offering supervisions and appraisals while maintaining a good understanding of service needs to provide up-to-date data for team development.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Current professional registration with the appropriate body in healthcare or social work or relevant professional clinical qualification (e.g., PWP/CWP in IAPT/Getting Help services).
* Educated to Master's level in leadership or a relevant subject area OR have equivalent clinical experience to that of a master's level, such as working as a band 6 (or above) in a relevant clinical area with significant experience, including managing people.
* Trained in Clinical Supervision and Providing Clinical Supervision.
* Recognised Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor.
Skills
* Able to manage complex team situations effectively.
* Understanding of the requirements of a busy team and ability to juggle day-to-day management.
Experience
* Experience of managing staff.
* Experience of working with patients with complex needs in the specialist field.
* Working collaboratively with external partners, staff, service users, and their families/carers.
* Evidence of delivering supervision.
* Detailed understanding of Safeguarding and its application in practice.
