As a Team Leader, you'll play a key role in supporting, mentoring, and leading a team of dedicated residential support workers. You'll help create a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment where children can grow, heal, and thrive.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Lead and support a team of residential support workers.
2. Be the responsible person during shifts, handling handovers and key decisions.
3. Build trusting relationships with children and provide emotional and practical support.
4. Encourage education, life skills, and positive behaviors.
5. Ensure safeguarding, well-being, and emotional resilience are prioritized.
6. Support children through key life transitions, from settling in to moving on.
7. Work closely with social workers, therapists, and external agencies to provide the best care.
8. Maintain records, write reports, and contribute to care plans.
9. Be flexible with working 2-on-4-off shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins.
What We're Looking For
1. A passion for transforming the lives of children in care.
2. Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People’s Workforce (or willingness to work towards it).
3. Experience in residential childcare (team leadership experience is a plus!).
4. Strong understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, and trauma-informed care.
5. A full UK driver’s license.
6. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins.
