Pharmacy Technician – Springfield Hospital – Bank Hours
The Role
We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team who are committed to delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes in a supported environment. You will be responsible for the delivery of the highest standards of care and services.
As a key member of the department, you will support the Pharmacy Manager in the provision of pharmacy services including ordering, stock control, and preparation of drugs and medicines. This will include providing advice to patients and clinical staff on pharmaceutical products (within the limits of your role).
You will support the pharmacist to ensure that Inpatient Prescription Record Charts are checked regularly to ensure treatment is appropriate, both clinically and financially, that the patient has sufficient supplies, and carry out medicines reconciliation as needed (daily requirement).
Providing straightforward advice to patients/carers and clinical staff on pharmaceutical products while ensuring that the agreed standards of patient care and confidentiality are maintained in accordance with Ramsay policies. You will also adhere to GPhC standards of conduct, ethics, and performance.

What You Will Bring
1. NVQ3, BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science, or equivalent level
2. Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
3. At least 4 GCSEs (A-C), including English, Maths, and Science, or equivalent qualifications
4. Sound written and verbal communication skills
5. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
6. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
7. Demonstrated customer service skills
8. Demonstrated computer skills
It would also be desirable for the applicant to have experience working in a hospital environment.
What is a Bank Contract?
A Bank contract at Ramsay Health Care UK is a flexible employment agreement where you are not committed to a set number of hours per week. Instead, you work on an ad-hoc basis, filling in shifts that we have available in our hospitals.
