About the Role: Design and deliver engaging and informative Food Technology lessons across all year groups (KS3, KS4), adhering to the National Curriculum. Cultivate a stimulating and safe learning environment that fosters a love of exploration, creativity, and practical skills. Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and nutrition. Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE, A-Level, as applicable). Collaborate with colleagues in the Food Technology department and contribute to school-wide events. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and a love for food. The Ideal Candidate: Possesses a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Food Technology or a closely related subject. Demonstrates a strong passion for food and cooking, with a captivating teaching style. Excels in communication, interpersonal skills, and classroom management. Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being. Has a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
