Our Client, a leading global manufacturer of high-quality connection solutions for the industrial electrical sector, has a requirement for an Area Sales Engineer with sales experience in the electrical industrial marketplace to manage the regional sales territory of the North of England including Nottingham to North Yorkshire and the North West (Lancashire & North Wales).
You will be building upon existing accounts alongside all new business development, and maintaining and further developing the relationships with distribution partners in your territory, selling the Company's full portfolio of high-quality industrial electrical connection solutions, control stations, and ATEX products to the industrial sector across a wide range of applications, via end users, OEMs, system integrators, panel builders, distributors, and wholesale resellers across all industry sectors.
As the successful candidate, you are most likely to be currently working within the electrical industrial sector as an Area Sales Engineer, Field Sales, Area Sales Manager, Sales Representative, or Business Development Manager. You will have a strong and successful technical sales background selling electrical products and components, probably for a niche manufacturer, and identifying suitable projects and industry sector targets, achieving specification or preferred supplier status, dealing with consultants, major contractors, and following through to order stage. Ideal locations would include Nottingham, Sheffield, Doncaster, Huddersfield, Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford, Rochdale, Stockport, Manchester and surrounding areas, although other locations will be considered for suitable candidates.

Technical qualifications are likely to be in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline, or a candidate experienced in the electrical sector and able to illustrate experience and technical ability in the controls industry and components, along with commercial flair and experience in the sector as described above.
