Are you a customer-focused library professional looking for that ideal term-time role in a friendly and collaborative College?
Haywards Heath College is seeking an experienced, qualified Librarian to take day-to-day responsibility for our Library. You will liaise directly with curriculum staff to provide relevant resources, collection development, and research skills training. In liaison with teaching staff, you will ensure that the stock, services, and environment of the Library support student learning.
You should be educated to degree level and ideally have a CILIP accredited qualification in librarianship or information studies, or a commitment to obtaining such a qualification. Experience of working in a professional role in a library, preferably in the further education sector, and proficient computer skills are advantageous. A qualification in teaching, supervisory experience, and knowledge of the use of online learning resources in a further education context is desirable.
You will enjoy working in a busy Library, with fresh challenges daily, and be committed to providing a high standard of service to internal and external customers. Effective communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to prioritize, and a flexible and resourceful approach are essential.

The working pattern for this role is:
1. 8.15 to 5pm Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (7 hours 45 minutes with 1 hour for lunch)
2. 8.15 to 4.15pm Wednesday (7 hours with 1 hour for lunch)
3. 8.15 to 4.00pm Friday (6 hours 45 minutes with 1 hour for lunch)
