Pharmacy Technicians play an important role complementing GPs, clinical pharmacists both in general practice and the community and other members of the multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant will join the team supported by the Clinical Pharmacist and wider practice Leadership Team to establish a successful pharmacy team. The successful applicant will provide cover to both of our sites, at Bransholme Health Centre and Princes Medical Centre. Main duties of the job Key Responsibilities: Medication Reviews - Assist with structured medication reviews, reconciling medicines post-discharge and ensuring accurate records Repeat Prescriptions - Process and authorise repeat prescription requests in line with practice protocols and clinical guidelines Medication Safety - Identify and resolve medication-related issues, ensure compliance with national and local prescribing policies and contribute to audits Patient Education - Provide advice on medication use, side effects and adherence to treatment plans Support Prescribers - Work with the clinical team to improve prescribing quality and manage high-risk medicines Stock Management - Ensure efficient ordering, storage and disposal of medicines within the practice Data and Reporting - Assist with prescribing audits, data collection and reporting for quality improvement initiatives.
