Amber Mace are currently recruiting for a Care Supervisor to join the team of a highly successful homecare branch based near Slough rated GOOD by the CQC and with fantastic online reviews. You will either be a Care Supervisor or Senior Carer with previous field care experience in a Domiciliary/Homecare service. My client is renowned for providing first-class care to residents in their own homes. Previous experience supervising staff within a homecare/domiciliary service is essential for this role.
As the Care Supervisor, you will:
1. Ensure that your team of support staff are providing practical assistance and support to all clients, enabling them to fulfil their maximum potential and have valued lives while promoting independence.
2. Be a strong mentor and role model for the team.
3. Primarily work in the office but include spot checks, supervisions, and client meetings/reviews.
4. Lead and mentor your team and support their development through 1-1's and annual appraisals.
The role includes:
1. Delivering high standards of person-centred care.
2. Training and development, as well as supervising the induction and training of new starters.
3. Assisting in the day-to-day operation of the business, involving direct line management for a team of Home Care Workers, including the management of their weekly workload.
4. Liaising with external organisations as needed.
5. Complying with all policies of the organisation, as appropriate.
6. Ensuring that the day-to-day care services are operated in accordance with health & safety legislation and current statutory regulation guidance on best practice.
7. Conforming to the company code of professional conduct in relation to the operation of the care at home service.
8. Participating in staff, team, and quality management review meetings as directed by the Service Manager.
9. Engaging with and positively undertaking on-call duties as required by the branch to ensure a 24/7 service is provided.
Qualifications/Skills required:
1. Hard working, organised, empathetic, and great attention to detail.
2. Previous experience as a Field Care Supervisor/Care Supervisor or Senior Carer in a Domiciliary Care setting.
3. A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is essential; my client will support you in completing NVQ Level 5.
4. Must have a valid driving licence and own car.
5. Must be resident in the UK with the right to work - Sponsorship is NOT available.
