The role
A successful Logistics company is looking for an experienced Pallet Network Traffic Planner to join their team.
You will be working in a busy Transport office routing collections and deliveries for our relevant post codes.
1. Answering inbound calls to the business and dealing with requests.
2. Planning vehicles around requests, challenges, and changes.
3. Monitoring customer requests, allocating jobs, and issuing instructions.
4. Keeping up to date with transport issues and dealing with changes to the day's schedules.
5. Communicate fleet availability and issues to the whole team.
6. Liaising with drivers and colleagues to ensure on-time deliveries.
7. Pre-brief and de-brief drivers on their daily runs throughout the day.
8. Record collection/delivery status and discrepancies in systems and escalate where appropriate.
9. Troubleshooting critical transport-related issues as they arise in a live environment.
The applicant
1. Have a dynamic approach to solve resource and planning resolution/modifications.
2. Computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office/Outlook/Teams.
3. Have a basic understanding of Large Goods Vehicles (weights, dimensions, and terminology).
4. A good geographic knowledge.
5. A proactive approach to continual professional development.
6. An excellent team player, able to work on own initiative and make decisions.
7. A positive attitude towards customer service and continuous improvement.
8. Ability to question, challenge, and improve upon existing processes.
Hours are 5am until 2pm each day.
