As a Junior Data Analyst Apprentice at Rugby School, you will support the use of data to enhance decision-making and improve educational outcomes across their institutions. Through hands-on experience and formal training, you will develop practical skills in data collection, analysis, reporting, and management. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure data is accurate, meaningful, and accessible, helping to shape insights that drive progress and innovation across the school community. In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Data & Business Insights qualification delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Data Collection & Management: Assist in gathering data from a variety of sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Youll maintain data records in an organised manner and support routine updates. Data Analysis & Insight: Learn how to analyse data using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Python. Help identify key trends and create dashboards, charts, and visual reports to communicate your findings effectively. Reporting & Communication: Contribute to clear and insightful reports for school leadership. Explain complex data in simple terms and provide evidence-based recommendations for decision-making. Database Administration Support: Work closely with experienced analysts to maintain school databases, manage records, and ensure data security. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Assist in creating clear documentation of data analysis methods and contribute to the development of internal guides for best practices. Help Desk & Technical Support: Respond to staff queries about data reports and technical issues, providing solutions and guidance. Team Collaboration & Learning: Collaborate with the Data and IT teams, attend team meetings, and continuously seek feedback and learning opportunities to grow in your role. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team. Enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn and develop professionally. Grade 5/C in GCSE Maths and Grade 4/C in GCSE English is required for this role.
