The post holder will provide leadership and direction for inpatient OT team, autonomously prioritise case load and delegate to junior staff. Complete standardised assessment of functioning. Provide detailed written reports of persons functioning to MDT. Develop and plan individualised occupational based therapeutic intervention plans. Complete detailed discharge plans. Support patients to access community as part of therapeutic intervention. Deliver group based interventions on the ward such as recovery through activities. Mentor the development of OT support workers. Participate in CPD activities. Ensure that best practice guidelines are followed. The post holder will have current HCPC registration. They will be expected to travel within Carmarthenshire and at times with the possibility of the wider HDUHB area, There are opportunity for pool cars and mileage expenses. Willingness to work flexibly when activity and demand levels result in necessary changes which may include 7 day working.
