Job Description:
Responsibilities for this Electrical and Mechanical Manager role:
1. Define and maintain technical standards for electrical and mechanical assets, including functionality, performance, reliability and maintainability.
2. Lead on the development, delivery and implementation of the long-term strategic asset management plans for all electrical and mechanical assets including major lifecycle renewals and life extension works.
3. Proactively monitor the operators' progress and performance, to ensure their maintenance activities are robust such that risks relating to safety, performance, reliability and obsolescence and costs are appropriately managed to a level of acceptance.
4. Review and analyse asset information (e.g. performance data) to identify trends and inform appropriate asset management practices and regimes.
5. Provide reports on asset condition, operator performance and supplier performance where required.
Requirements for this Electrical and Mechanical Manager role:
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
2. Professional qualification in a recognised engineering institution.
3. Proven experience working in an engineering/asset management role within light or heavy rail.
4. Proven expert knowledge and technical competence in a discipline relating to electrical and/or mechanical engineering in light or heavy rail.
5. Proven knowledge of the recognised and relevant associated standards, legislation and specifications for light and heavy rail.
6. Established delivery record in maintenance, life extension works and renewal of electrical and/or mechanical assets.
7. Knowledge of the principles of ISO55000.
8. Experience of working on a multi-disciplinary renewal programme.
