Job Summary Genie Cleaning Services is seeking a skilled Senior Operations Manager to lead our Operations Department, reporting to the Operations Director. This role requires a strong leader with experience in managing contracts and operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functions while meeting client and internal expectations. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Management: The Senior Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Operations team, providing guidance and support. Promote clear communication and collaboration between office and operational staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Client Relations: Liaise professionally and proactively with clients to ensure all contract specifications and service level agreements are met or exceeded, addressing any issues swiftly to maintain strong client relationships. Operational Performance: Be accountable for operational performance. Set, monitor, and review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure that service delivery targets are met or exceeded. Team Development: Recruit, train, and manage staff, ensuring they have the tools and resources to succeed in their roles. Health & Safety: The Senior Operations Manager will promote a safe working environment by ensuring all staff are trained and up to date on health and safety procedures. Regularly review and update health and safety policies, ensuring all team members are informed and compliant. Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions where necessary to mitigate any identified hazards and to take appropriate immediate actions as necessary. Process Management: Ensure that all operational processes are followed, reviewing and improving them to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Oversee operational planners, reports, and client logs to track progress, performance, and areas for improvement. Budgeting & Financials: Manage scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure operational efficiency and financial accountability. Quality Control: Oversee cleaning services, ensuring quality standards are maintained and improvement opportunities are identified. Conduct regular performance evaluations and site audits to assess service quality and compliance with contract specifications. Administration: Ensure all relevant administrative tasks are completed accurately and deadlines are consistently met. Problem Solving: Provide support, advice, and guidance on any operational or office issues that may arise. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvement and implement practical solutions to enhance the overall quality of services. Business Development: Assist in new business development by attending site visits to evaluate potential contracts and exploring opportunities to expand service offerings. Desirable: Proven experience in a senior operational management role, preferably within the cleaning industry. Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and manage the team. Excellent organisational and planning skills, with experience managing budgets and forecasting. A good understanding of health and safety legislation and its application in the workplace. Good working knowledge of health and safety legislation.
