Overview
MCL requires a Project Procurement Manager on an FPSO Project for our oil and gas client.
Duration: for an initial 12 month contract role that has an immediate start
Rate: a target limited company rate of circa £60.00 per hour.
Location: The role will be based on 5 days a week in the Clients Offices in Leatherhead. Hybrid working is possible with two days remote permitted per week.
The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment.
Responsibilities
1. Experience of offshore, FPSO and MEGA project contracts and procurement.
2. Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers for the procurement of goods, services and supplies.
3. Takes responsibility for purchases in support of customer-related business processes or for internal use
4. Discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers, and is responsible for negotiating refunds.
5. Coordinates with operations, maintenance, warehouse and engineering to ensure proper scheduling and movement of goods and supplies.
6. Manages the Procurement team to develop a more strategic Procurement approach.
7. Ensure efficient and effective procurement processes that meet all legal, technical and commercial factors within a stringent regulatory framework. Drive value for money through the procurement of goods, services and works.
8. Co-ordination of procurement activities, ensuring effective support is provided to the business.
9. Review and develop Procurement processes and procedures, ensuring any proposed changes are properly reviewed by relevant stakeholders, appropriately communicated to the business, and implemented effectively.
10. Work with other departments to develop appropriate contracting strategies for different types of work ensuring the business is protected.
11. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of a degree and 15+ years of experience
