We are newly recruiting for an Associate to join our Planning & Environment team in Bristol. This role would best suit a qualified lawyer between NQ-2 year's PQE, with some previous legal background in a Planning team. We offer fully flexible working and clear routes for progression, with a supportive and collaborative team culture.
Your Role
As a key addition to our growing and highly rated team in Bristol but working with other team members in our offices across the UK, you can expect to be involved with:
* Varied and high-quality work, advising across a broad range of planning, highways and non-contentious environmental law matters. This includes both TCPA and DCO applications for major infrastructure projects. We also have a strong reputation for compulsory purchase and compensation for acquiring authorities, developers and landowners.
* Collaborating closely with senior team members and Partners on complex work and long-term projects particularly in our key sectors Clean Energy, Public Sector and Real Estate.
* Business development, nurturing both existing and new client relationships.
* Working alongside our Planning team nationwide, contributing to our collaborative team culture.
Your Skills & Experience
We are looking for:
* A Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) between NQ-2 year's PQE, with legal experience within a Planning team.
* A forward thinker, with excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, you will be self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines.
* Commercially aware with enthusiasm for business development, and an appetite for keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in your practice area and sector focus.
* Understanding your client’s business needs, and acting in the best interest of the firm and the client.
* Ambitious and enthusiastic team player, able to support senior fee earners and contribute to our collaborative culture.
