It is responsible for ensuring a wide range of vocational and technical qualifications are delivered safely. The team regulate awarding organisations qualification delivery including their management of specific delivery risks to ensure fairness for students and parity of treatment, whatever qualification they are taking. This post is offered on a Fixed term basis due to an across government loan. Job description What the postholder will be doing Our Senior Managers lead the end to end monitoring of awarding organisations qualification delivery. They also contribute to discrete areas of work within Ofqual to ensure that vocational and technical qualifications are fit for purpose and have the greatest overall benefit for users of qualifications, students and learners and the wider education system and general public. Senior Managers also drive proactive risk identification and management through proportionate and targeted regulation to secure standards and provide assurance about qualifications while they are being delivered. The work involves chairing both one to one reviews with awarding organisations and cross cutting working groups, ongoing risk assessment, data analysis and incident management. As a Senior Manager, you will need to be comfortable asking challenging questions and engaging with senior staff in awarding organisations. The post holder will need to be mentally agile, proactive and able to successfully manage competing priorities. This post will also involve managing others to succeed. Experience of using and creating reports in PowerBI would be desirable.
