Job overview
As part of our current local transformation work, Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust has received investment to expand our Crisis Resolution Home Treatment (CRHT) teams. We are seeking experienced, dedicated, and passionate Crisis Care Practitioners (Band 6) to join our Multi-Disciplinary team from either a Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work background.
The CRHT team provides rapid response and intensive home support for adults who are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis. We also work with our community teams and partner organisations to provide a range of support options for people experiencing mental health crises.
If you are a confident, experienced clinician looking for a new challenge and would like an opportunity to use your skills working in a busy, rewarding, and supportive environment, we would like to hear from you.
Hours can be flexible, and we welcome applications for part- and full-time work.
We have vacancies in both the Mid and North Notts team covering Mansfield, Ashfield, Bassetlaw, Newark, and Sherwood. The team base is Sherwood Oaks Hospital, and the County South team covers the Rushcliffe, Broxtowe, Hucknall, and Gedling areas, based at Highbury Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The service ‘gate keeps’ all admissions to acute mental health wards and our crisis house and aims to provide care in the least restrictive manner by offering an alternative to hospital admission through intensive home treatment.
We are seeking experienced Mental Health Practitioners to join our team of Consultant Psychiatrists, Junior Doctors, Non-Medical Prescribers, Nurses, Social Workers, and Support Workers providing rapid response for adults who are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis.
All staff have access to clinical and managerial supervision, career development opportunities, enhancement for any unsocial hours of working, and access to relocation expenses for those meeting the criteria for reimbursement of such expenses. They will also have the opportunity to take on additional training and development in any area of the service they are particularly interested in, and all are supported by an excellent mentor and preceptorship service when they first join.
